Orlando Athletics Club is an organization which was founded by Johannes Mashigo (its chairperson) who used to be & still is an athlete (Central Gauteng’s best) from 1997 till present. This club was founded in the Orlando East area, a previously dusty area which has gradually developed to be a well-equipped in terms of recreational facilities. When the club started, it only had 27 junior athletes aged 16 to 19 years old who were elite athletes. Today the club has over 550 members aged 10 to 80 years ranging from novice, social and amateur to elite athletes. We are now the best club in Soweto. Orlando Athletics Club has produced South Africa’s best.
