Perfect for beginners and speedsters alike, the 5km is the ultimate gateway to road racing. Whether you’re looking to crush your first finish line or set a blistering new personal best, this distance offers a fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere that gets the heart racing and the endorphins flowing.

10km – The Challenge

Double the distance, double the reward. The 10km strikes the perfect balance between endurance and pace, making it the most popular choice for recreational runners. It’s a fantastic test of stamina that requires strategic energy management while remaining accessible enough for those stepping up from a shorter sprint.

21km – The Half Marathon

The ultimate test of grit and determination. Spanning 21.1km, the Half Marathon is a premier endurance event that takes you through the "wall" and out the other side. It demands dedicated training and a strong mental game, offering an unparalleled sense of achievement as you cross the finish line.

A Race For A Good Cause

Orlando Athletics Club is proud to host the annual Race Against Cancer with Discovery Vitality Half Marathon on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Held under the official rules and regulations of Athletics South Africa (ASA) and Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA), this premier event will start and finish at the Orlando Communal Hall.

As the flagship charity initiative for the Orlando Cancer Society, this race is more than just a test of endurance—it is a powerful movement to rally our community together in the global fight against cancer. Every stride taken helps raise vital funds for specialised programs and support services dedicated to children and youth facing the challenges of this disease.
